2005 Robotic Fiber Laser Marking System Equipped with Janome JS350 Scara Robot, Sunx LP-F10 Mark II Fiber Laser System with Aluminum Enclosure and Exhaust Port for a Fume Extractor to be Installed, and Allen Bradley Control System. This system was previously used to mark gas cap lids with "Tight Until Clicks" message.
It appears this machine would have gas caps loaded onto trays and the trays would be stacked on the conveyor on one end of the machine. The machine would feed one tray into the robot area where the robot would pick a cap from the tray and load it onto a rotating fixture. This rotating fixture has a pneumatically operated door that would raise and the fixture would rotate 180 degrees into the marking chamber. The fiber laser marker would mark the part while the robot was unloading the previous cap back onto the tray. Once all caps on the tray were marked, the conveyor would discharge the finished tray out the opposite end where a stacker would begin stacking all trays from the bottom up. The conveyor at the same time would be loading the next tray into position for the robot to begin the process again.
This machine could be easily adapted to mark many other products. The Allen Bradley CompactLogix Processor has lost its memory and will need to be reprogrammed in order to operate the conveyor and pneumatic tray loaders. The memory loss does not affect the operation of the fiber laser marker or the scara robot.
