The Mecos (Mecos Traxler AG) MBE3-50 is a digitally controlled active magnetic bearing (AMB) control system designed to levitate and stabilize rotating shafts without mechanical contact. It provides precise, closed-loop electromagnetic control of bearing actuators and is commonly used in high-speed laser cutting and turbomachinery applications, including Trumpf CO2 laser systems (Trumatic L3030, TCL2530, and related platforms). The unit accepts three-phase AC or DC bus input power and delivers a regulated 50V/2A output to drive the magnetic bearing electromagnets at up to 900 Hz operating frequency.
