The CEDES Safe4 S4S-AEF21-KH14-ACD60 is a Safety Light Curtain Emitter from the CEDES Safe4 product family — a Category 4, Type 4 (IEC 61496) active optoelectronic protective device designed for the highest safety requirements in industrial machine guarding. This unit is the emitter (transmitter) half of a Safe4 system, featuring an A-Cap (M16 axial) cable connection, Hardware revision 21 with the patented ILAS laser alignment system, a 1,680 mm protective height, 30 mm (hand) resolution, and operates on 24 VDC. CEDES Safety & Automation AG was acquired by Rockwell Automation and this product line is also marketed under the Allen-Bradley GuardShield Safe4 (Bulletin 445L) brand.
